Covenant for Small Groups
  1. Consistency of attendance is vital to the individual and the entire group.

  2. All participants are contributing members, while yet honoring personal boundaries in terms of how deeply to share; there are no observers here.

  3. Listen carefully and contemplatively to others without trying to take over from the speaker, to fix persons or situations, or to give advice. Speak in the first person, claiming your own thoughts and experiences as your own.

  4. Respect each member's personal theology, political beliefs, and so on. Do not try to convince others of the correctness of your own beliefs.

  5. Observe confidentiality: what is said in the room remains in the room. If material is common knowledge outside the room, it need not be considered confidential, yet prudence and charity may indicate that you let it rest anyhow.

  6. Pray for one another.
